About This Camp

On May 12, 2026, Equity Heartbeats sponsored a Free Medical & Health Awareness Camp in the Nayagram block of Jhargram District, West Bengal, India, organized together with our partners at the India Tribal Care Trust.

Over the course of the day, the camp reached 133 tribal patients (men, women, and children) with free consultations, health guidance, and medicines to a community that lives far from regular medical care.

Why It Matters

For many tribal families in this region, a camp like this is one of the few times a doctor comes to them. Bringing free, judgment-free care directly into the community removes the distance, cost, and time that so often keep people from being seen at all.

This was our first medical camp abroad, and a step toward carrying our mission of health equity beyond the San Joaquin Valley to the communities who need it most, wherever they are.
