Bringing Healthcare to the Community
On February 1st, 2026, Equity Heartbeats partnered with Gurdwara Guru Nanak Sikh Temple in Fairfield to bring free health screenings directly to the community. Holding the event inside a trusted, familiar space meant people could get checked without the usual barriers of cost, travel, or an unfamiliar clinic.

What We Offered
Every participant got a full set of vital-sign checks and a chance to talk through their results with our team.
Vital Sign Monitoring:
- Blood pressure screening
- Blood glucose screening
- Temperature check
- Oxygen saturation (SpO2)
- Heart rate monitoring
Education & Demonstrations:
- Blood pressure management
- Glucose management
- Osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) demonstrations
Why It Matters
For many families, seeing a doctor means taking time off work, arranging a ride, or navigating a system in a second language. By bringing free, judgment-free care into a space the community already trusts, we remove those hurdles and help people stay ahead of their health.
